I'm look for budget strategy's to lower my food costs!
I tried this last week and it was quite useful. I made roast chicken with potatoes one night for dinner and then make chicken broth and chicken noodle soup another night.
What are your favourite roasted whole chicken recipes?

Chicken is so good nutritionally, but the cost is always a problem, at least in comparison to other meat! I only really have roast chicken as part of the classic Sunday roast, topped with Yorkshire puddings, vegetables, roast potatoes, and of course… Gravy! Maybe something like this?

That looks similar to one that I did the other day. It's a classic recipe. https://www.recipetineats.com/roast-chicken/.
Tonight, however, I am going to try this one: http://www.gimmesomeoven.com/crispy-roasted-garlic-chicken/comment-page-2/#comments
It's a lot of garlic and butter.

I always use the leftovers of a roast chicken for sandwiches the next day or I add it to egg fried rice for lunch!

I like to use the left over in enchiladas.

Looks good! Chicken is especially tasty when you get the right amount of crispiness!
Another thing you can do is cut up the chicken and use it for several dinners. Say, use the thigh meet by making Kung Pao for dinner one night. Use the breast meat for Chicken Cordon Blue another night and then make Chicken soup with the rest. You Tube has videos on how to quickly cut up a whole Chicken.
