This turned out SO good. It took my boyfriend and me an hour to pick all the blueberries, but it was totally worth it. 🀀 We made this pie with a store bought dough. The middle is about 500g blueberries, 2 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon potato flour. The top is made with 125g cubed butter, 1 Dl sugar, 1.5 Dl oats, and 1.5 Dl flour. I also added a bit of salt and cinnamon. Baked it on 225C for 20 minutes.

You Americans always have dough in the bottom and I always thought that seemed so much extra work. πŸ˜€ A typical Swedish pie is fruit or berries (or rhubarbs) in the bottom and some sort of pie dough on top. Once you have the berries, you can see the finish line. I was craving for blueberry pie the other day, but I’m well now. πŸ˜‰

Its easier to handle with crust on the bottom. And I normally just buy the pie dough from the store 😁

Handle? You can’t hold it like a sandwich anyway, right? Or maybe you can. That would be a plus. But where do you put the vanilla sauce? In the other hand?

I mean to serve a slice of pie with a bottom is less messy. And easier to clean the pan afterwards too. Plus pie dough is yummy!

In the US we don’t have vanilla sauce, its usually served with a bit vanilla ice cream ☺️ or whip cream but I prefer the ice cream
