Italian Spicy Butternut Squash Pasta

My dinner for tonight. One of my favorite wines, a Montepulciano and a spicy butternut pasta pasta dish.

We bought this spicy pepper oil from an Italian store that we need to use up so we are putting it in everything. This is just butternut squash, parmesan and rigatoni pasta - together with the spicy pepper oil.

Are you sure you have to use up the pepper oil for it not to go bad? Peppery things often lasts many years. Tabasco can be kept 5 years after its opened and probably longer.

They are roughly chopped hot peppers. It says to consume within a few weeks so best not to take our chances. 😁
